Artist Biography

FANG-YI KUANG

Kuang Fangyi( b.1998) is an artist based in Guilin and Adelaide. Her practice encompasses performance, moving image, photography and installation. Grounded in personal experience, her work employs an intuitive engagement with materiality and corporeality to investigate the mnemonic capacities of matter and the affective architectures that mediate relationships between individuals and space. Through this, she constructs nuanced environments in which perception and imagination are intricately entangled.
